Advocate H S Chandramouli will initiate a legal fight against Delhi-based Congressman Brijesh Kalappa and Union Minister Prakash Javadekar for allegedly defaming him on a social networking site.

He said on Sunday that his duty was to defend his client. But, Kalappa and Javadekar have said that he was an advocate for Choksi.

“I will send legal notices to those who have posted defamatory content. I have only followed professional ethics. Also, the incident took place in 2015 and the case was handled with a trainee advocate,” Chandramouli said.

He added that he will work for the victory of the candidate. “I was served with the ticket by the high command. But I refused to contest when I realised that the Choksi incident would bring embarrassment to the party.”

He said that some people in the party worked against him. Kalappa and some leaders in Delhi back-stabbed him. Kalappa can contest the gram panchayat elections and he will get a chance at Kodlipet.

Chandramouli was initially the candidate from Madikeri, but, the B-form was later served to K P Chandrakala from the same constituency.
