New Delhi: Irish telecom gear maker PROSE Technologies on Wednesday launched the new ‘PROTREEM’ antenna family, which consists of high-efficiency beam shaping antennas that can enhance wireless communication services through improved radiation and coverage efficiency.
The company claimed that the product can bring in marked improvement in coverage efficiency of almost 20-25%, and also ensure 25% less energy consumption.
"This high efficiency BSA will prove to be a milestone in India and the global telecom sector. With increased efficiency the ‘PROTREEM’ antenna reduces the need for installation of more and more towers, thereby lowering the dependence on land availability and acquisition. Also, the lower power consumption gives a major fillip to our and the country's commitment to lower carbon footprint," Arshad Fakhri, President (India Region), PROSE Technologies said.
In terms of efficiency, the antenna comes with improved radio frequency (RF) performance due to its innovative “Air Stripline” structure for lower insertion loss. Its high tilt accuracy and improved pattern performance aids in better coverage area, the company said in a statement.
The product also comes with high directivity with good beam shaping technology. Besides a robust design, the company has also used several of its patented technologies, making it a first of its kind product in the wireless communications space. It comes with patented radome technology, end cap solution among others, the statement added.
