Commercial vehicles maker SML Isuzu on Friday unveiled its global series of trucks in the South Indian market. The trucks are fitted with real-time vehicle tracking system and better fuel efficiency, and increased driver comfort, among other features.
Naval Kumar Sharma, General Manager (Marketing) of SML Isuzu said the Global series contains many features including dash mounted USB port for mobile charging and safety with newly designed head lamps.
SML Isuzu comprises of two major business verticals- LCV and ICV Trucks and Buses along with a range of special application vehicles.
The company has also launched its advanced telematics solution- the 'SML Saarthi', which is a next gen telematics solutions aimed at revolutionising the transport management and on-road service support given to the customers of the OEM company.
Sharma said that the model is made entirely in India, and that the company is using the most advanced robotic techniques.
"We will be adding new products according to customers' demand, and will introduce them in few months," Sharma said. The two main models introduced in the market include Samrat HD 19 feet SMD truck and Samrat 17 feet HD truck.
Other GS models available in the market include Sartaj, Super, Tipper Supreme and Prestige, among others.
