A lean manufacturing process plays a key role in our growth strategy enabling the Sanand plant to contribute around 60% of the overall PV production."

From producing 400 vehicles a day, by the end of this fiscal year, it aims to touch 500 vehicles a day.

The Sanand plant has also produced the first electric passenger vehicle for commercial use in the form of Tigor EV and it will continue delivering EVs.

The facility has evolved from a single model to a multi-model flexible plant producing 21 variants with 150 vehicle combinations.

Located about 35km from Ahmedabad, the Sanand plant, which was established in 2010, is spread across 1,100 acres with workforce of 4,500 employees.
