Bengaluru: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore's (IIMB) Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) cohort concluded the two-day annual summit, Drishti 2024, on November 10, marking its 25th anniversary.
The summit brought together students, industry leaders, and visionaries to explore innovations for a sustainable future under the theme of 'Insights to impact: Shaping business strategies for tomorrow', a press release noted.
The event blended business, technology, art, culture and academia, offering a dynamic platform for workshops, case competitions, and panel discussions. Topics ranged from human capital management and financial inclusion to adaptive leadership and startup ecosystems.
The summit was inaugurated by IIMB Director Prof Rishikesha T Krishnan.
Notable sessions included 'Winds of Change', which featured talks by IAS officer and paralympic medallist Suhas Yathiraj, and Indian Navy veteran Aishwarya Boddapati.
Keynote speaker Pankaj Rai, Group Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Aditya Birla Group, delivered an address on embracing a "learning path" over a "career path".
Dr Rhonda Duffy, Executive VP and COO at Biocon Biologics, provided insights on authentic leadership.
HR experts Mandira Roy Choudhury (Wipro Infrastructure Engineering), Sumit Katyal (Biocon Biologics), Rohit Hariharan (Ather Energy), and Namita V (Lucas TVS) led discussions on workforce strategies for the modern business environment.
The summit also featured startup founders like Upamanyu Borkakoty of Woolah Tea and Madhu Kargund of Tengin.
A panel on leading through changing business dynamics offered actionable insights from industry heavyweights Vineet Shukla (Mahindra Teqo), Sudip Paul (Accenture Strategy), and Shishank Gupta (Infosys).
