AAP sources said Kejriwal will be travelling to both the states once the campaigning picks up. He has already been approached by Maha Vikas Aghadi constituents Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar), they said.

In Jharkhand, Kejriwal will campaign for JMM - the alliance leader in the state. The campaign schedule for Kejriwal shall be announced soon.

It is not clear whether Kejriwal will be campaigning for Congress candidates in these states at a time when the Delhi Assembly elections are around the corner.

AAP did not enter into an alliance with the Congress during the Haryana Assembly elections; however, both the parties fought the elections together in the state.

Kejriwal’s decision to campaign for I.N.D.I.A. partners in Maharashtra and Jharkhand comes against the backdrop of unease in the alliance over seat sharing arrangements. Smaller partners have expressed reservations on being ignored for contesting elections.
