Actress Swara Bhasker threw gauntlet at Election Commission of India (ECI) over alleged tampering of EVMs after her husband Fahad Ahmed's lead in the Anushakti Nagar constituency of Maharashtra Assembly started dwindling.
In Anushakti Nagar, Fahad is pitted against veteran leader and former Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik's daughter Sana.
At the time of writing, Fahad, a candidate of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP faction, who was initially leading, was trailing behind Sana, nominee of Ajit Pawar's NCP.
"How can an EVM machine be 99% charged despite voting taking place all day? Election Commission should answer. As soon as 99% charged machines were opened in Anushakti Nagar assembly, BJP supported NCP started getting votes, how come?," Swara posted on X.
