Alia Bhatt-starrer Sadak 2 has become the worst-rated movie on IMDb at 1.0 star out of 10 with over 30,000 votes. The second worst movie on record is a Turkish movie with 1.3 stars and fewer than 28,000 votes in the past five years.

A DH review of the movie termed it, “a sincere attempt at storytelling that makes a decent impact but fails to meet the standards set by the first part.”

Whilst 2.3% of voters chose to give the movie a 10/10 rating, over 95.8 per cent of votes went for the least possible rating, 1/10.

Several reviews by users of IMDb for the movie deemed the movie to be very poor. One user wrote, “Bad movie even if you watch it objectively,” whilst another said, “Not worth rating”

Previously, an online movement to make the movie’s trailer the most disliked on YouTube succeeded on August 20. The trailer of the film, as of now, has been watched over 70 million times and has managed to receive more than 12 million dislikes on YouTube with a little over 700,000 likes in what could be regarded as an effect of the untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Sushant's death had triggered the debate around nepotism yet again, and the film Sadak 2, featuring like Alia, Sanjay Dutt, has been targeted for having products of 'nepotism' on board.

Sadak 2 is a sequel to the 1991 movie Sadak. The movie is directed by Mahesh Bhatt and stars Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Jisshu Sengupta.
