Nikhil Siddhartha's Karthikeya 2 has earned the prestigious National Award for Best Telugu Film, marking a significant achievement. The film, which became one of the most talked-about releases of the year, showcased Nikhil’s intense and commanding performance, winning critical praise and now, one of Indian cinema’s highest accolades.
The film’s win marks a major milestone, underscoring a tremendous accomplishment for the team and a proud moment for Telugu cinema. Nikhil, celebrated for his versatility, has continually impressed audiences with roles ranging from charming romantic heroes to deeply nuanced characters.
Alongside producer Abhishek Aggarwal and director Chandoo Mondeti, the star was in New Delhi to attend the 70th National Film Awards at Vigyan Bhawan, where Karthikeya 2 received the prestigious Best Telugu Film Award.
Celebrating the National Film Award win with DH, Nikhil said “It is an absolutely satisfying feeling to have Karthikeya 2 win a National Award. The movie went on to break language barriers and did extremely well across different languages at the box-office and the govt of India's recognition is the icing on the cake.”
“This will be our motivation to work even harder on the third part of the movie and renewed vigor for my next films too - Swayambhu and India House,” concluded the Karthikeya 2 hero.
The most prestigious event in the Indian film industry, the 70th National Film Awards ceremony recognised veteran star Mithun Chakraborty with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, Rishab Shetty as best actor, and Nithya Menen and Manasi Parekh, who jointly received the best actress awards.
