A retrospective of Kannada filmmaker P Sheshadri is on until November 24. Eight films of the director will be screened over four days at Suchitra Film Society in Banashankari.
The award-winning films that will be screened include Vimukthi and Bharath Stores (November 22), Mohandas and Mookajjiya Kanasugalu (November 23), and December 1 (November 24). The films deal with themes such as relationships, poverty, tradition and politics.
The filmmaker has also won multiple national and state awards for movies like Munnudi, Bettada Jeeva, Thutturi and Vidaaya.
Four books focused on Sheshadhri’s work will be launched on November 24 by Shalini Rajaneesh, Chief Secretary of Karnataka.
