The petitioner claimed that the state police appeared to be “trying to manipulate and botch up the investigation with a view to shield and save the real culprits”.

He sought direction to the transfer the criminal case lodged on July 21 with Ramgarh police station in Alwar, related to the murder of his son. He also sought an order to transfer the proceedings to a court in Delhi.

The petitioner also sought a direction to grant compensation as the deceased was the sole bread earner of the family. He also sought protection for the family.
