Baleswar Police on February 04 launched ‘Operation Sand Storm’ to take action against illegal sand smugglers. Speaking to ANI, SP Sagarika Nath said that 11 persons were arrested in connection with the attack on the sub-collector.
Sagarika Nath said, “On basis of info that a Sub-Collector was attacked yesterday near a bridge, 11 accused arrested. Their illegal brick kiln was demolished. In wake of illegal sand mining in Baleswar district, ‘Operation Sand Storm’ launched to take action against sand smugglers.”
