Preparations are underway for the visit of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in the Purnea district of Bihar on September 23. Home Minister Amit Shah will be on a two-day visit to Bihar.
It is his first visit to Bihar after CM Nitish Kumar parted ways with the BJP and joined hands with Rashtriya Janata Dal. He will address 'Jan Bhavna Mahasabha' in the Seemanchal area for the first time in Bihar.
“We want to ask Union Home Minister Amit Shah - will Centre give special status to Bihar? What's the motive of his visit here? When he comes here he'll say that there's jungle raj in Bihar, will speak against Muslims and incite Hindus, that's all they do,” Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav had said while commenting on the Union HM’s state visit.
BJP state president Sanjay Jaiswal said that JDU leader (Rajya Sabha) and former Finance Commission chairman NK Singh asserted that special status is not possible in today's situation.
While exuding confidence that BJP will form government in the state in 2025, Jaiswal said, "For decades no BJP leader has become the Chief Minister of Bihar, but in 2025, the party will form the government in the state and there will be Chief Minister of BJP in Bihar."
