All like-minded Opposition parties have decided to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building, said Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) leader Sanjay Raut while addressing a presser on May 24.
“The nation’s economic condition isn’t well and still lakhs of crores have been spent on this project on the wish of PM Modi. Was this really required? Our President is the custodian of the Parliament and she isn’t being invited to inaugurate the new Parliament. BJP is making a political event by getting it inaugurated by PM Modi. All Opposition parties have decided to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building on May 28 and we will also do the same,” said Sanjay Raut.
