7 injured in bus-auto collision

The autorickshaw that was involved in the head-on collision with a private bus at Mudipu, Mangaluru, on Saturday.

Seven people including six students suffered injuries in a collision between an autorickshaw and a private bus, at Mudipu on the outskirts of Mangaluru on Wednesday.

The auto was ferrying schoolchildren from Ira to Mudipu and the bus was travelling to B C Road from Mudipu via Ira when the collision occurred.

The accident occurred when the auto driver failed to notice the B C Road-bound bus at a steep curve and rammed into it. All the injured are recuperating in a private hospital. The autorickshaw was completely damaged in the accident.
