An air ambulance that had arrived to airlift a British citizen to Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) developed a technical snag, on Saturday.
The woman, Anne Levish Smith, had arrived at Mangaluru in a cruise ship. Anne, however, developed health complications and was admitted to a private hospital.
As her husband wanted to take her back to their country for further treatment, an air ambulance was summoned.
The international air ambulance operated from Mumbai developed a technical snag during the take-off.
V V Rao, Mangaluru International Airport director, confirmed that the air ambulance had developed a technical snag which is now being attended by a technical team.
