The district administration has made all arrangements for the polling in Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday.

The constituency has 13,63,937 voters. In this, 7,04,482 are female voters. There are 1,317 polling booths in seven Assembly segments — Manjeshwara, Kasargod, Uduma, Kanhangad, Trikaripura, Payyanur and Kalliaseery. There are 184 sensitive polling booths and 43 hypersensitive polling booths in the constituency.

Micro observers have been deployed at sensitive polling booths. Webcasting has been arranged in all 43 hypersensitive polling booths.

The polling officials on Monday collected EVMs, VVPATs and other required documents from mustering centres before leaving for their respecting polling booths.

A total of 6,321 polling officials have been deployed on duty. As many as 700 vehicles were used to transport the officials to the polling booths. The services of boats were used to ferry polling officials and other election-related materials to Pandinalakadav in the island of Valiyaparamb in the constituency.

As many as 2,650 police personnel have been deployed for security. Manjeshwara Assembly segment has the highest number of voters - 2,12,108 - with 198 polling booths.
