The Adichunchanagiri mutt organised a fundraiser for the flood-affected Kodagu district on Sunday.

The drive, which started from the Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Mutt in Vijayanagar, was led by the seer, Nirmalananda Swami. Crores of rupees were collected from political leaders, ministers, various organisations and the public.

“Kodagu has to be rebuilt. There is a need to respond to the pain of the people of Kodagu. The programme is not only a fundraiser, but also an awareness campaign to protect the environment,” Nirmalananda Swami said.
