The BBMP is yet to start the repair work on the Varthur bridge, which has been wobbling for the past three weeks.
After local residents and NGOs made a petition before the civic body, a committee of engineers inspected the bridge and suggested replacement of the bearings of the structure on May 23.
However, the residents complained that the Palike is yet to take up the repair work.
A member of volunteer group Whitefield Rising said: "The BBMP was to begin the repair work on Monday. They also had to inform the police to restrict the movement of vehicles, weighing above 10 tonnes. But this has not happened till now."
Swaran Lata Dhar, another resident, posted on Facebook: "It is so scary to cross Varthur bridge. Today while crossing the Varthur bridge I could feel the bridge shaking. There are so many school buses plying on this bridge. What action has been taken by the government to avoid the mishap?"
The BBMP officials were not available for a reaction.
