Bicycling championship inaugurated, event on July 29

The inauguration of the Bengaluru Bicycling Championship on Sunday.

Mayor R Sampath Raj along with Bengaluru bicycle mayor Sathya Sankaran flagged off the Bengaluru Bicycling Championship on Sunday. The inaugural function was a teaser of the main event, which involves a 20-km and a 40-km bicycle race, scheduled to be held on July 29 at NICE Road. The inaugural cycling ride of 5 km took place in and around the Cubbon Park.

“Events like these promote good physical and mental health. The bicycling championship is to promote cycling as a sport for personal well-being,” said Sankaran. The championship is organised by the NEB Sports Entertainment.
