The tussle between the Bangalore University (BU) syndicate members and the vice-chancellor continued, with the members accusing the VC of taking unilateral decisions and violating norms.
Claiming that they are writing back to the vice-chancellor in response to his letter after the 156th syndicate meeting, the members accused the VC of not circulating the proceedings of the said meeting.
“When questioned (about) this, the vice-chancellor wrote a letter asking us to submit the issues raised during the Zero Hour in writing,” the syndicate members said, warning that they would be forced to take the issue to the Governor if he continues such actions. The Governor is the varsity’s chancellor.
“Because of the unilateral decisions taken by the vice-chancellor, we syndicate members have to answer to the court in some of the recent decisions,” they said.
