Bengaluru: In view of the Buddha Poornima celebrations, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has announced a ban on the sale of meat in the city on Thursday.
In a press release, the BBMP's Animal Husbandry Department said the sale of meat as well as animal slaughter stands prohibited.
A similar ban was announced at least twice in April, for Mahaveer Jayanthi and Ramanavami.
