The builder not only added an extra floor that deviated from the sanctioned plan, but also violated setback regulations. However, the day after the demolition, the builder began reconstructing part of the razed structure and continued construction.

The four-storeyed building, situated on a 40x60 plot adjacent to 5th Cross Road, belongs to Suresh Tammina. Engineers indicated that the owner constructed the additional floor without proper permission. The civic body carried out the demolition after issuing notices and allowing adequate time for compliance.

During the demolition drive, engineers noted that a section of the ground floor wall was removed. They reported that the owner agreed to demolish the illegal structures at his own expense within 10 days.

BBMP Executive Engineer Ravikumar and Assistant Executive Engineer Srinivas Murthy were involved in the demolition efforts.

Following the demolition, local residents posted "after demolition" pictures of the building, criticising the BBMP’s actions as mere "eyewash". They pointed out that the builder had resumed construction work.

In response, Ravikumar stated that the builder had requested 10 days to comply with the sanctioned plans.

In Alpha Garden, which falls under the KR Puram Assembly constituency represented by MLA Byrathi Basavaraj, there are over 50 buildings that have violated sanctioned plans and setback regulations. The roads within the layout are so narrow that two vehicles struggle to pass each other.
