The road that links Channasandra and Thirumalashettyhalli remains in a pathetic condition despite repeated protests.

Frustrated by the delay in repairing the road that connects Channasandra and Thirumalashettyhalli in East Bengaluru, residents on Saturday submitted a letter at BBMP Whitefield office urging completion of the work.

Repeated protests and signature campaigns by the residents for the past two months did not provoke the Palike into action as the road still remains pathetic. The BBMP promised to restore the road which was dug to lay pipelines as a part of KC Valley project. But the work just began and has a long way off the finishline.

“BBMP just started the work which is progressing in snail’s pace. We have witnessed two road accidents for the past twenty days now,” said Manoj Pillai, of Thirumalashettyhalli. A BBMP official claimed the road was spoiled only after KC Valley project. “The road lies in a low lying area and it’s impossible to lay the road unless we finish the drainage work (first),” he said.
