As many as 1,200 artists; 10 lakh visitors; sales exceeding Rs 5 crore. All in a single day. This, in a nutshell, was the 2023 edition of the Chitra Santhe held last Sunday on a traffic-free Kumara Krupa Road in Central Bengaluru.
From traditional paintings to quirky home decor, intricately handcrafted sculptures to live portraits, the Santhe's creative dimensions were in full flow.
But what explains the magnetic pull of the Santhe, organised annually by the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath?
