In a special drive against eve-teasers, the north division police rounded up more than 200 people who created nuisance in public places.
The move follows mounting complaints by women about eve-teasing in the city.
The Hebbal police drove along bus stops, auto stands and railway stations on Saturday and detained several people. They later released the detainees with a strict warning.
Most eve-teasers are habitual offenders and are booked under petty cases, a senior police official said. Others detained in the drive are college dropouts released later following undertakings that they will not repeat the offences.
The official added that such raids will be held in future.
