I visited Dubai with my close friend, his son and two of our friends. We flew by Emirates, which was a three and half hours flight to our destination.
Our abode for the next couple of days was ‘Pearl Residence’ near Burj Dubai Metro Station. The taxi arranged by the travel company arrived at the hotel in the evening and we left for Jumeirah Lake Towers. The city roads are very well maintained and the tall buildings on both sides of the road was a beautiful sight.
Jumeirah Lake Towers is constructed along the edges of three artificial lakes. We headed towards the cruise. There were many programs organised along with good music and food. The main attraction was a male dancer exhibiting his talent by dancing beautifully. The cruise was a thrilling experience for all visitors.
Next morning, we set off for a sand safari about twenty kilometers from the city in a Land Cruiser which added to the safari experience. The driver of the vehicle performed a few tricks as rode through the vase stretch of red sand. It was an exhilarating experience and exhibited the driver’s skill.
We were treated with juice, dinner and entertaining acts like belly dance and fire dance, at a place in the middle of the desert.
On the third day, our designated driver took us to the Dubai Gold Souk, situated in Deira district. There are more than 400 jewellery shops that sell pure gold items. We also visited the white sand Jumeirah beach on the coast of the Persian Gulf. Burj Al Arab, a luxurious hotel located near the beach. We visited the Dubai Mall on the last day of our tour.
The mall reflected the cosmopolitan nature of the city. It was a lovely sight to see people of all ethnicity in one spot. Next, we went to Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world consisting of 148 floors.
We got into the elevator to reach the 124th floor and got an amazing view of the ground from the top. The cherry on the cake was when we got to meet Kannada actor Shivaraj Kumar at the airport when we were coming back.
He happily obliged for a selfie which was a happy ending to our tour.
