DH-PV and Manipal Hospitals have joined hands on this International Women’s Day to create a platform to let women share their health issues and get solutions based on doctors’ advice.
The event ‘Strong Women. Strong World’ will be held at the Sterling Mac Hotel on Old Airport Road between 11.30 am and 1 pm on Saturday.
Actor and state BJP spokesperson Malavika Avinash will be the guest of honour at the event, while IAS officer Dr Kalpana Gopalan will be among the panellists.
Women of various age groups, from teenagers to working women and senior citizens, will share their perspectives on various issues, a media release said.
Architect Deepthi Vijayan and a student of psychology and media studies at Christ University Spandana Rao form another panel to speak on health issues.
Manvitha Masgode, a counselling psychologist and educator, will moderate a panel discussion in which experts from Manipal Hospitals will offer solutions for the prevailing health issues.
The panel will include Dr Arathi Rama Rao, Dr Meena Muthaiah, Dr Gayathri Karthik and Dr Hemanandini Jayaraman.
