An attempt to foist false charges against his seniors boomeranged for an employee of the State Trading Corporation (STC).

The police have booked him for furnishing false information after a detailed probe into his allegations.

Srinivas K, working at the STC office located at the terminal building of Kempegowda International Airport, had filed a petition with the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the corporation based in Delhi. He had alleged that two of his senior officers at the STC were involved in illegal activities like trading with the seized red sanders stored in the warehouse.

Aravind Kumar Kadyan, the CVO, forwarded Srinivas's petition to a senior official in the city police on Saturday seeking a detailed probe into the matter.

The ACP (Devanahalli sub-division), who conducted the probe, found that Srinivas falsely accused his seniors of wrongdoings to tarnish their image.

Further inquiries revealed that Srinivas had professional jealousy and was indifferent with his seniors and in order to harass them, he complained to the CVO, a senior police official said.
