A perfect weekend for me is just doing everything that I love. I make it a point to spend my off days with my family.
My wife Deepika and three-year-old son Rikky are my world and spending time with them is always fun.
My wife and I love travelling. Going out is always a fun experience when we are together as it turns out to be a series of happy moments. We love going to places like Goa and Jog Falls.
Coming from Thirthahalli, I love scenic places and peaks like Kodachadri and Agumbe and keep frequenting them.
When in the city, we enjoy visiting Popsies in Koramangala for Chinese food. When we are in the mood to watch movies, we go for a screening at Meenakshi Mall; it is usually a Kannada or Hindi film.
Shopping is often in Jayanagar and we also love indulging in ‘chaats’ at Gandhi Bazaar.
If we are feeling too lazy and are not in the mood to step out, then we chill at home and watch some movies. I am also an avid fan of ‘Game of Thrones’.
I love adventure sports and activities like parasailing and rafting and don’t miss a chance to try my hand at these, especially during the weekends and when I am outside Bengaluru.
I also go for these activities when I am with my friends. When not with family, I hang out with my close friends, director of ‘Churikatte’, Raghu Shivamogga and Adarsh, Dinesh, Rakesh and Lokesh.
We are like birds of the same flock, we share the same thoughts and share each other’s interests.
We go out for rides together. Travelling in a pack is a lot of fun, the biker in you gets to explore nature and you get to travel with your friends. Train rides are another personal favourite activity of mine as they always trigger nostalgic memories.
I also hit the gyms on weekends. I work out for at least 90 minutes. Working out is not just about burning calories but also about feeling good and confident. Dancing is another favourite hobby as it liberates the soul.
I love reading as it gives you perspective. I enjoy the works of Poornachandra Tejaswi as well as self-help books like ‘How to unleash your true potential’. I am a simple man and I appreciate the simplest of things.”
