A rowdy involved in seven serious crimes has been booked under the Goonda Act, which provides for imprisonment without bail for up to a year.
In a statement, Kadugodi police said that the city top cop issued an order on August 30 to book MC Srikanth alias Maddy under the stringent law.
Srikanth is believed to be involved in assault, robbery and other crimes. He was recently released on bail.
Given his "incorrigible" behaviour, police decided to put him behind bars under the Goonda Act.
