Techie dies as bike hits wall; pillion rider injured

A 30-year-old rider was killed and the pillion rider was injured when their motorcycle smashed into a parapet wall on Challaghatta main road, JB Nagar, in the early hours of Monday.

While Pradeep died on spot, Sumith sustained severe injuries and has been admitted to a private hospital.

According to the police, Pradeep and Sumith hailed from Andhra Pradesh and were employed in a software firm. They were returning to their residence near Challaghatta from Indiranagar after a weekend party and lost control of the vehicle while taking a turn and rammed into the wall.

The JB Nagar traffic police have taken up a case of death due to negligence and are investigating.
