A 45-year-old resident of Karnataka's Bhatkal has been detained for alleged possession of 2.1 kg gold soon after he landed at Goa's international airport from Dubai on Saturday, according to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence.
"We have seized 18 gold biscuits worth Rs 97 lakh and weighing 2.1 kg by one Akbar Abubakr. He had arrived in Goa by air from Dubai," a statement, issued by the DRI, said.
