BJP candidate Muniraju Gowda P M was elected member of the Legislative Council unopposed on Monday.
Muniraju, who had unsuccessfully contested against the now BJP MLA Muniratna in the 2018 elections - had filed the nomination papers last week.
Gowda was elected to the seat that fell vacant, following the demise of former deputy chairman of the Council S L Dharme Gowda.
