The three-day ‘Brahmakalashotsava’ will be held at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple in Malluru, Bantwal taluk, from May 12 to 14, said Temple Renovation Committee Working President Purushottama Kottari.
Addressing reporters here, on Wednesday, Kottari said that the religious rituals would be performed under the supervision of Derebailu Vittaladasa Tantri.
A religious programme will be held on May 12 at 6 pm. Temple Renovation Committee Chairman Ramesh Alva Kaje will preside while Malluru Gram Panchayat President M K Yusuf will be present.
Sharat Shetty Padupalli will perform a Harikatha ‘Sri Krishna Sandhana’ at 8 pm on the same day.
Various religious rituals will be held on the morning of May 13 and a formal function will be held at 6 pm. Ramakrishna Tapovana-Polali seer Swami Viveka Chaitanyananda will deliver a religious discourse. Mahalingeshwara Temple Management Committee Chairman Subhash Shetty Demmale will preside. Mulki-Moodbidri MLA Umanath Kotian will take part in the programme.
A Yakshagana play ‘Sri Mangaladevi Kshetra Mahatme’ will be performed by Sri Mahatobhara Mangaladevi Yakshagana Mandali at 8 pm.
‘Brahmakalashabhisheka’ will be held on May 14 at 8.10 am.
The formal programme will be held at 6 pm. Odiyuru Gurudevadatta Samsthana seer Gurudevananda Swami will deliver a spiritual discourse. Malluru Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Brahmakalashotsava Committee Chairman Dr Manjaiah Shetty will preside.
Tulu play ‘Paniyere Avandina’ will be performed by Devdas Kapikad and troupe at 10 pm, Kottari said.
Brahmakalashotsava Committee General Secretary Prakash Alva, Management Committee Chairman Subhas Shetty Dammale and member Varun were present.
