Cracks leave villagers worried

Cracks appeared on a concrete road at Monnangeri.

Panic gripped residents in Monnangeri following the appearance of cracks on a road and land, in Galibeedu Gram Panchayat jurisdiction.

The villagers said that similar cracks had appeared in 2013. The concrete road has also developed cracks.

Landslide was reported in front of a house belonging to Babu Poojary at Monnangeri.

According to officials, the cracks would have appeared following the heavy rain and an increase in humidity. Tahsildar Kusuma and police personnel visited the spot.
