Delegation demands funds for bus stand

A delegation led by former MLA B B Ningaiah submits a memorandum to Transport Minister D C Thamanna.

A delegation led by former MLA B B Ningaiah and JD(S) leaders met Transport Minister D C Thamanna and urged him to sanction funds for the construction of a new bus shelter at Kalasa.

Ningaiah said that the bus stand at Kalasa is in a dilapidated condition. There is a need to construct a bus stand at Kalasa.

"Due to the pathetic condition of the bus stand, all the buses are parked beside the road which results in traffic congestion," he added.

The transport minister, in turn, directed the delegation to submit a resolution of the Kalasa Gram Panchayat to allocate land for the bus stand.
