The annual general meeting of the Ex-servicemen association and a get-together was held at Kodava Samaja in Madikeri on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Major (retd) Venkatagiri said that the family which has sent its member to the Indian Army will take pride in serving the nation.
Though people revere ex-servicemen, many companies do not provide a job for them, he said.
