Fan dies of heart attack as BSY resigns

H Channabasappa, a supporter of B S Yeddyurappa, died of a heart attack after he came to know that his leader had resigned as chief minister, at Santhebennur in the taluk on Saturday evening.

Channabasappa had distributed sweets among his friends after Yeddyurappa took oath as chief minister on Thursday.

On Saturday, he was watching the proceedings of the Assembly since morning. But he was shell-shocked when Yeddyurappa announced his decision to quit, Channabasappa’s friends said. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.
