During his five-year term, the contribution of MP Pratap Simha to Kodagu district is zero.
He does not have any moral right to contest in the upcoming Parliamentary elections, said Rajya Pragatipara Chintakara Vedike state unit president K C Puttasiddashetty.
Addressing reporters in Madikeri on Saturday, he said that Pratap Simha has taken the law into his hands during Hanuman Jayanti.
Puttasiddashetty said that the forum will conduct a campaign to ask the people to vote for secular candidates. Awareness camps are being conducted across the state.
“Communal parties should be kept away from power. The black money in the nation has not been curbed. The unemployment problem is rising. The sacrifice of our soldiers is being encashed for political benefits. There is an undeclared emergency in India. The Modi-led Central government is directly responsible for the outbreak of communal tensions,” he said.
He also alleged that the victims of the natural calamity have not been adequately compensated by the Central government.
The MP of the region has not been working towards rehabilitation works. Nothing has been done from his side to solve the problem of poor roads in Diddalli rehabilitation site and in rural areas. The voters of Kodagu should wake up, he added.
Forum vice president Nataraju, office-bearers Kumar Shetty, A Cheluvaraju and Mamata were present.
