A request will be made to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to release grants for Beary Bhavan in Mangaluru and to provide a site for Beary Okkoota in Chikkamagaluru district, said MLC S L Bhoje Gowda.
He was speaking during the Beary cultural programmes organised by the Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy and Zilla Bearygala Okkoota at Kuvempu Kalamandira in Chikkamagaluru on Monday.
The MLC meanwhile appreciated the unity among the Beary community and assured them of providing all possible cooperation towards the development of the community.
Sringeri MLA T D Raje Gowda said that the future of the country will be bright if people belonging to all communities live in harmony.
MLC S L Dharme Gowda, Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy Chairman Muhammed Karambaru, Zilla Bearygala Okkoota President C K Ibrahim and JD(S) state Vice President H H Devraj were present among others.
