The court also orally observed that if bail applications are filed by such persons, the same shall be heard by the High court.

The court observed that the BBMP and the police should work together on this task round the clock. The BBMP should ensure that all unauthorised flexes and banners are removed as soon as possible.

The court stated the police can get records of mishaps concerning the removal of flexes which may be available in CCTV footage.

The court asked the Police Commissioner to file an investigation report of such assaults or mishaps and should also file an affidavit with regard to the action taken therein August 8.

The BBMP should also submit an action taken report with regard to the removal of the flexes by August 8.

The BBMP counsel submitted that some contractors are not ready to remove the flexes following Thursday’s assault incident.
