Heavy rain breaches wall on Agumbe ghat

The retaining wall at the 14th milestone of the Agumbe ghat road which connects Shivamogga to Udupi, collapsed on Friday, owing to heavy rains in the ghat section.

Heavy rains have been lashing the region continuously for the past one week.

Vehicular traffic on the road was not disrupted as police intervened immediately to ensure the safety of people passing through the ghat section.
