Aarathi Krishna, deputy chairperson of the NRI Forum of Karnataka, said, “I am one of the ticket aspirants for Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Parliamentary Constituency.”
Speaking to reporters, she said, “I have been visiting the constituency, meeting leaders and collecting suggestions. The high command had asked me to contest in the past. As I was working in the American Embassy then, I was not keen on contesting it. After tendering resignation, I have been involved in organising the party.”
“My family has a close affinity with politics. My father B Ramayya was a minister in the past. If the party high command wants me to contest, I will contest. I will abide by the high command’s decision,” she added.
