MLA K G Bopaiah directed the officials to include eligible victims whose names have not been included in the list of natural calamity victims who lost their houses in the rain and landslides, prepared by the district administration.
Speaking at the tri monthly review meeting of KDP of the taluk panchayat on Saturday, he directed the village accountants to provide required documents for the beneficiaries of various housing schemes.
He said the land identified for burial grounds in various gram panchayats should be taken to the custody of the revenue department. The encroached burial ground land should be reclaimed, he added.
Bopaiah expressed displeasure at the poor progress in the purchase of paddy under minimum support price of the government. Only 72 farmers have registered in Madikeri taluk for the sale of paddy under MSP.
The MLA also urged the panchayat raj engineering department officials to accelerate the work on PMGSY roads.
Taluk panchayat president Tekkade Shobha Mohan, Vice President Santhu Subramani and others were present.
