A joint survey of seven mining leases in the district, which passes through interstate border of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, was started on Wednesday.
The survey work began from the Mehboob Transport Company (MBT) mines in Malapanagudi of Andhra Pradesh and Thumati and Vithalapur in Sandur taluk. The representatives of the adjacent mines were present. Sandur tahsildar Anil Kumar was also present.
