Bengaluru: The Department of Information and Public Relation (DIPR) on Monday said that phone numbers used to make unnecessary calls to 112 helpline would be blocked for 24 hours.

“Calling Helpline 112 without a valid reason and wasting the time of Hoysala personnel can result in those truly in need not receiving timely assistance,” DIPR posted on X. “A life could be lost due to your prank calls; be cautious!”
