The Kadur Junction Railway station lacks basic facilities and passengers face inconvenience due to this.

The ramp facility is not in order in the railway station and as a result passengers including senior citizens have to climb the staircase to reach the platform. A few take rest on the ramp as well.

The passengers have urged the authorities to make arrangements for lift facilities at the railway station.

A heap of garbage welcomes the passengers who visit the railway station. Although the TMC civic workers clear the garbage dumped in front of the railway station, garbage is not cleared from the platform and garden situated in front of the railway station.

The water supply system to the two platforms at the railway station needs to be rectified. In spite of the Railways writing to the TMC to supply water from Bhadra to the railway station, no efforts have been made in this regard. Though a few organisations supplied water free of cost for a few months, it was later discontinued.

As many as 90 trains pass through Kadur station daily (44 trains have stoppage and 46 have no stoppage). A sum of Rs 1.70 lakh to Rs 2 lakh is collected from the advance ticket booking facility at the station.

Without a proper roof, the passengers are forced to wait under the scorching sun at the platform.

The railways should instal compartment indicator at the platform. No one should be allowed to sleep on the ramp so that senior citizens are not inconvenienced. Waiting room facility should be provided at the second platform, demanded passengers.
