Two lorries loaded with liquor worth Rs 18 lakh being illegally transported without permit, were seized at a checkpost near Musturu village in Jagaluru taluk in Chitradurga district on Wednesday.
The lorries were supposed to go to Ballari from Mysuru via Challakere, but changed route to Musturu village. The lorries were handed over to the Excise department by Tahsildar Hullumani Thimmanna.
