Man arrested for duping people

Udupi Cyber Crime, Economic Offences & Narcotics (CEN) police have arrested a youth who was duping people on the promise of jobs and taking money and laptops from them.

The arrested has been identified as Nishanth S Kumar alias Nithin (21), a resident of Kaup. The police arrested Nishanth on Saturday and seized 7 laptops and a mobile phone worth Rs 1,50,000 from his possession.

The case was investigated by Udupi CEN Inspector Ramchandra Nayak. A case is registered under sections of the IT Act and IPC section 420.
